Enrolment

Visa students

students needing a visa pay upon enrolment the amount for the whole course to start visa application.

 

Non-visa students

1. The enrolment deposit for students not needing a visa is CH 500.- for the first term.
2. Enrolment is confirmed only after receipt of the enrolment form and fees (CHF 500).
3. After enrolment confirmation, the enrolment deposit will be deducted from the tuition fees.

 

Eligibility

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. No previous exposure to the language chosen is necessary.

Students are tested upon arrival and placed in a class according to their level.

 

Official holidays

On the following holidays, the school is closed and does not reimburse for classes : August 1^st (Swiss national holiday), Lundi du Jeûne (in September), Easter Friday, Easter Monday, Ascension Thursday and Pentecost Monday.

 

Lessons and students

All periods last 50 minutes.  The fee for private lessons is CHF 50.- a period.

The maximum number of students per class is 16.

When a class has less than 5 students, a special schedule is adopted.

 

Start of the term

All courses start on Monday.

Joining students are asked to always start their course on a Monday.

Beginners must start the course on the starting day of the semester (see school dates).

 

 Student permit and insurance

The student permit costs approximately CHF 150.

According to Swiss law, all students have to be insured for illness and accident. The insurance must cover their full stay in the country. Students will be automatically insured upon arrival unless they provide evidence they are covered with an insurance valid in Switzerland.

       

Refund

There are no refunds for late arrival, early departure, absence during the term or cancellation after the beginning of the term.

 In the event of cancellation prior to the beginning of the course, all fees paid are refunded – except CHF 250 for cancellation fees - upon written request by registered mail received 2 weeks before the first class. After that deadline, no refunds will be made.
